Michelle has been teaching music since 1994. She is a the top call private instructor with former students performing music around the world. Holding a BM from Portland State University, she supplemented her music education by taking extra lessons form world class musicians. Often studying with 3 instructors at a time and commuting to Seattle or traveling to Boston for lessons.

Fundamentals are important to Michelle. Including, air control, posture, finger mechanics, scales, 12 key work, articulations for classical vs. jazz etc., ear playing, sightreading skills, Jazz improv techniques, music theory, basic Jazz piano and more!
